Our Purpose
The Supporting Immigrant-Origin College Students Study aims to showcase the lived experiences of seven students from immigrant backgrounds on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. Through visual storytelling, we highlight their diverse experiences, challenges, and achievements, creating a meaningful impact in academia and beyond.
Use, Permissions, and Ethical Notice
All photographs, captions, and accompanying materials presented in this online exhibit are derived from a dissertation research study conducted using photovoice methodology. These materials reflect the lived experiences, perspectives, and voices of study participants (co-researchers) and are shared with their informed consent for the purposes of scholarly dissemination, education, and public engagement.
Co-researcher consent does not extend to third-party use, reproduction, redistribution, or publication of any content beyond this website. To protect the autonomy, dignity, and confidentiality of the co-researchers, no materials from this exhibit may be copied, downloaded, reproduced, modified, or published in any form without the express written permission of the Principal Investigator.
Any use of these materials must adhere to ethical standards for research dissemination and respect the intent under which co-researchers agreed to share their work.
